Consultation & Billing Policy

Last Updated: January 2026

This policy outlines how consultations, bids, and payments are handled by FR Young Homes.

Consultation & Feasibility Bidding

  • An initial property walkthrough may be provided to assess general fit and scope.

  • Once a client elects to proceed, a $500 non-refundable consultation fee is required.

  • This fee covers time spent evaluating the project, coordinating with trade partners, and preparing a feasibility bid.

  • A feasibility bid is typically provided within 72 hours and includes trade and material allowances based on the proposed scope.

  • If a contract is signed, the $500 consultation fee is credited to the project account.

Project Pricing

Project pricing is based on scope, complexity, materials, labor, and coordination requirements. Final pricing is confirmed through a signed contract.

Project Management Fee

All renovation projects include a project management fee, billed as a flat rate based on project size and complexity.

This fee covers:

  • Scheduling and sequencing

  • Subcontractor coordination

  • Inspection scheduling

  • Timeline oversight

  • Issue resolution

  • Client communication

Payment Structure

Projects longer than one week

  • 50% deposit at contract signing

  • 30% progress payment during construction

  • 20% final payment upon completion

Short-duration projects

  • 70% deposit at contract signing

  • 30% final payment upon completion

Payment terms are outlined in the contract.

Subcontractors

FR Young Homes sources and coordinates all subcontractors. While cost is considered, the primary objective is to select qualified professionals who align with project scope, timeline, and budget. Lowest pricing does not always reflect best value or quality.

Changes and Additional Work

Any changes to scope, cost, or timeline must be approved in writing before work proceeds.

Non-Payment

Failure to make payments according to the agreed schedule may result in work stoppage or schedule adjustments.
